ULEZ friendly: Burton-based Crestchic Ltd, the acknowledged world leader in the manufacture, sales and rental of loadbank testing equipment, has welcomed a new vehicle into its growing fleet.   The Mercedes Benz Actros 2546 LS Tractor Unit is built to comply with current and near future legislation, keeping Crestchic one step ahead of the game.

Jo Price, Rental Manager at Crestchic, said: “This new vehicle complies with the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emissions Zone) in London and the DVS (Direct Vision Standard), which comes into force in October, again in London.

“ULEZ and DVS are there to better protect the environment and vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists, but as other cities across the UK have suggested they could soon adopt these schemes, this new addition to our fleet puts us in a great position for the future.”

Crestchic has garnered an enviable reputation around the globe for both its market leading product range and the quality of service it provides to its large and varied customer base.

“It’s this sort of forward thinking that embodies everything that Crestchic aims to achieve,” concluded Price.

Crestchic load banks and load testing solutions are primarily sold and rented to customers operating in the oil and gas, marine, data centre and power generation sectors. The company manufactures a wide range of AC and DC load banks for both resistive only and resistive-reactive applications. Load banks vary in size from 30kW to 6000kVA and are designed to operate a 3 phase, 50 or 60Hz. The larger units are containerised and transportable and can be linked together to provide loads of 50MVA and above.
